MADHUMUNI YA THTU

Dhumuni kuu la THTU ni kusimamia kwa vitendo ushirikishwaji wa wafanyakazi mahali pa kazi. Madhumuni mengine ni pamoja na;
 1.Kutetea maslahi ya wafanyakazi
 2.Kujenga mahusiano mazuri miongoni mwa wafanyakazi na Menejimenti ili kuleta tija


USHIRIKISHWAJI.
Kuna aina zifuatazo za ushirikishwaji wa Wafanyakazi Chuo cha Ufundi Arusha;

1.Baraza la Wafanyakazi (Workers Council).
 Hili linaundwa na Chama cha THTU na Menejimenti ya Chuo. Lengo kuu la Baraza hili ni Kupitia Bajeti, sera na Mipango ya Maendeleo ya Chuo na kuishauri  Menejimenti namna bora ya kutekeleza.

2.Majadiliano ya pamoja na kufunga Mkataba wa Hali Bora (Collective Bargaining Agreements).
     THTU inawakilisha wafanyakazi wote katika majadiliano ya pamoja na Menejimenti katika masuala yote yanayohusu maslahi,mahusiano na maendeleo ya wafanyakazi na Taasisi kwa ujumla. Katika kutekeleza hili THTU imeandaa Mkataba wa hali bora za wafanyakazi ambao utatekelezwa baada ya kuridhiwa na Baraza na kusainiwa na THTU, Menejimenti na Msajili wa Hazina.


3.Mikutano ya Kikatiba ya Wanachama
  THTU ina mikutano ya wanachama ya kikatiba, yenye lengo la kushirikisha wafanyakazi kuzungumza na kutoa maoni, ushauri na mapendekezo ya kutekeleza uboreshaji wa maslahi, mazingira ya kazi na mahusino mazuri kazini.


4.Shere za Wafanyakazi Mei Mosi
    THTU kwa Kushirikiana na chama mwenza cha Wafanyakazi cha Researchers, Academicians and Allied Workers Union- RAAWU, Huandaa kwa ushirikiano maazimisho ya sherehe za wafanyakazi za Mei Mosi.

SHABAHA YA USHIRIKISHWAJI

 Shabaha za kimsingi za Ushirikishwaji ni kama ifuatavyo:-
  i. Kupunguza matumizi mabaya ya madaraka yanayotokana na utaratibu wa umilikaji wa njia kuu za uchumi.
  ii. Kujenga jamii isiyokuwa na matabaka na kumwezesha mfanyakazi kushiriki katika kutunga sera na mipango ya uchumi kitaifa
  iii. Kujenga jamii ambayo haina tabaka na kwamba umilikaji na uendeshaji wa njia kuu za uchumi ni wa pamoja.
  iv. Kuleta uhusiano na ushirikiano mwema mahali pa kazi kwa lengo la kuinua ufanisi wa kazi.
  v. Kudumisha demokrasia mahali pa kazi, viwandani, mashirika ambapo wafanyakazi wataweza kujadiliana pamoja.
  vi. Mambo muhimu katika demokrasia ni kama ifuatavyo
     • Uhuru na majadiliano.
     • Uhuru wa kufikia uamuzi
     • Utekelezaji wa pamoja wa maamuzi hayo (Binding to all).
     • Wafanyakazi wenyewe wataweza kuongeza juhudi na maarifa kazini, na pia watazidi moyo wa uvumbuzi, utundu, ubunifu katika utengenezaji wa vitu vipya.
  Viii. Wafanyakazi watakuwa tayari kukubali madaraka makubwa zaidi katika uendeshaji wa Taasisi.
  Ix Kupunguza migogoro mahali pa kazi.
  X Kuwawezesha wafanyakazi na Menejimenti kuwa na msimamo wa pamoja(mshikamamo) kuhusu masuala yanayohusu kazi na ustawi wa wafanyakazi.

  Xii Kuwawezesha kutumia vipaji vya wafanyakazi ipasavyo

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Upendo Trust Fund

The Fund was established voluntarily by the College staff in 2007, with the purpose of assisting needy staff and provides assistance to needy people outside the College. This is done through collecting donations aiming at solving one’s problems. The fund was inherited by the College following changes in operations and management occurred in 2009. This trust is mandated by the College to use the provided College perception of having a unit for provision of reasonable economical mutual assistance to needy staff members and those surrounding the College.

Improving Skills Training For Employment Program (ISTEP)

ISTEP is a five-year program funded by Global Affairs Canada. It builds on successes resulting from other EFE programs funded by Global Affairs Canada and managed by the Colleges and Institutes Canada in Tanzania, Mozambique and Senegal (2008-2013). ISTEP’s ultimate outcome is increased gainful employment, including self-employment, of graduates (m/f) from skills for employment programs. Among the benefits of the program to the College include development of the curricula for Pipe works, Oil and Gas Engineering program for NTA levels 4-6, technical skills assistance to staff, and equipments for running Pipe works oil and gas engineering program.
