Registration and Accreditation

The College is registered and fully accredited by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE), to train technicians and engineers in approved disciplines. The College is as well registered by the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) to train Artisans. Currently, ATC offers various training programmes in engineering and technical education leading to the award of Vocational Certificates (NVA Level 1-3); Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 4-6), and Bachelor’s Degree (NTA level 7-8). In addition to training, the College conducts applied research in strategically selected areas, and provides community services in the development, deployment and exploitation of science and technology for socio-economic development.

We can proudly say that over the past five years (5) Arusha Technical College has made remarkable achievement in all its areas of mandate. Substantive developments have been made in academics, enrolment, staff development and recruitment, infrastructure, as well as in the surrounding environment. Within the last five years for example, significant increase manifest in: academic programs, enrolment, training initiatives, and the number of academic staff. Most of the academic staff members have improved their academic status; infrastructure has been improved; and the outside environment has been given a face-lift to make it more conducive for education. Furthermore, ATC has established various local and international collaborations that are beneficial to its overall objectives and functions. The following sections and chapters briefly highlight these developmental achievements.
