Ag. Head of Communication and Marketing Unit - CommunicationWELCOME NOTE
I am thrilled to welcome you to the Communication and Marketing Unit (CMU) (formerly known as the Public Relations Office). The Unit was formed in 2023 aiming at providing expertise and service in information, communication, Public Relations, Marketing and dialogue with Public and Media to the College.
The CMU structure comprise two sections namely; the section of Communication and the section Marketing. Overall, the Unit is led by the Head, Communication and Marketing (HCMU) who reports to the Rector.
The marketing section is responsible for marketing the College’s Corporate image to both the internal and external publics through various marketing/brand and outreach activities, including managing the ATC Corporate Social Responsibility function. Some of these activities include promoting the College at events such as exhibitions, conferences together with the use of promotional materials such as brochures, fliers, calendars, plaques, banners and other souvenirs.
The Communication section is responsible on issues of writing and processing news (for the College newsletter, website, social media platforms or to be aired or published on mainstream media), official media releases and statements to highlight some of the key College activities as well as developments around – among others – the executive, staff and students. The section also serves to connect the media with ATC academics and subject matter experts (to participate in media programmes or as news sources). Also, the section deals with corporate campaigns and promoting the work and activities of the College through a range of digital communications. These include the College’s main public-facing website, video and animation, and social media platforms and channels.
